Vintage Whimsical Hand Painted Ceramic Tiles

$26.00

Set of 8 hand painted ceramic tiles by Edna Winkleman in 1974. These tiles were recovered in a suburb of Buffalo, NY and, except for the signature on the tiles, there is not much known about the artist. These were most likely produced as a hobby project, but we love how Edna magically captures scenes from an idyllic country life with her soft, watercolor style and whimsical figures. These lovely tiles can be used as coasters as they are kiln fired and glazed or add them to a lovely shelf display — each tile is approx. 3” square.
